What TTT is

The basics.

Six questions that cover what TTT does, who it's for and how it's priced.

What is Tradie Tool Tracker?

Tradie Tool Tracker (TTT) is a GPS tracking solution built for Aussie tradies. It gives last-known location, on-demand live tracking and alerts for toolboxes, trailers, plant and other high-value gear — with a dashboard aimed at worksites, not corporate boardrooms.

Who is Tradie Tool Tracker for?

Solo tradies, small crews, subbies and larger trade businesses across Australia — including sparkies, plumbers, builders, civil crews and anyone who depends on expensive tools and trailers day to day.

How much does Tradie Tool Tracker cost?

Plans shown on this site start at $19/month (Starter, 1–3 assets), $39/month (Crew, up to 10 assets with multi-user access and advanced features), and custom Business pricing for fleets that need unlimited assets, API access and a dedicated account manager. Final pricing is confirmed at purchase.

Does live tracking work everywhere?

Live tracking depends on GPS reception, cellular coverage where the device reports, and power to the tracker. Last-known location is stored so you still get a useful signal when the device goes offline or is hidden.

Is the hardware weatherproof?

Marketing materials reference an IP67 site-tough rating for suitable devices. Always confirm specifications for the exact tracker you purchase and follow installation guidance for seals, mounting and exposure.

How do I get help or cancel?

Contact the team on 1800 TTT GEAR (1800 888 432) or email hello@tradietooltracker.com — hours are Monday to Saturday, 6am–6pm AEST. Starter and Crew plans are advertised as cancel-any-time; check your checkout or contract for exact terms.

Hardware and app

Install and setup.

Practical questions on getting a tracker into a toolbox, trailer or piece of plant.

How long does install take?

Under ten minutes for self-install. Scan the QR code on the device, name the asset in the app, pick who can see it, stash the tracker. Done. Hardwire installs to a 12V loom take longer; a sparkie or auto-electrician knocks one out in 20–30 minutes.

Do I need a phone with the app?

Yes — iOS or Android. The dashboard is also available in any browser if you'd rather watch on a laptop or yard PC. One account, multiple devices.

What if I move the tracker between assets?

Rename the asset in the app. The location history follows the tracker, not the name. Keep notes in the asset description if you swap regularly.

Will it work without a phone signal?

The tracker stores location offline and reports the moment it gets cellular coverage back. Live tracking needs a live signal; last-known location does not.

What it costs

Pricing and plans.

Three plans, no lock-in on Starter and Crew. Hardware extra. Quote inside a business day.

Is there really no lock-in?

Correct. Starter and Crew plans are month-to-month. Cancel any time from the dashboard. Business plans for fleets use a custom contract — talk to the team on 1800 TTT GEAR.

What does the hardware cost?

Hardware is a one-off charge for the tracker plus optional fitting. Indicative range: $149 self-install, $350 pro install. Final price confirmed at checkout — ring us for fleet quantities.

Can I mix plans across crews?

Yes. A lot of customers run Crew for the head office plus Business for fleet trailers. We'll structure it so the billing makes sense at month-end.

Are there any setup fees?

No setup fee. No activation fee. No "platform" fee. You pay for the tracker hardware once, then the monthly plan.

No bull, no lock-in
