Built for the trade

GPS tracking for landscapers.

Mowers, trailers, blowers, edgers, chainsaws. The kit lives outside, the trailer lives outside, and that's where it gets nicked. TTT goes in the trailer body or the mower deck so you know where the gear went after the lock came off.

The pattern

The landscaping kit is small, expensive and trailer-bound:

  • Ride-on and self-propelled mowers

Walker, Toro, Husqvarna ride-ons in the $5k–$20k range. Rolled out of trailers in driveways.

  • Stihl two-stroke kit

Brushcutters, blowers, chainsaws, hedgers. Hi-vis orange, easy to identify, easy to flog.

  • Trailer and contents

A full landscaping trailer is $20k+ of kit. Lifted off the ball, towed away, contents gone.

  • Stump grinders and tillers

High-value, low-volume kit. Stolen to order in some cases — a Carlton stump grinder is recognisable.

The damage

What it costs you.

A trailer theft puts a landscaping crew on the bench for a week or more:

  • Trailer plus kit replacement: $15k–$40k
  • Insurance excess and waiting period for a hire trailer
  • Day rate lost across the crew
  • Bookings cancelled or pushed — and the customers who do not come back

How landscapers use it

How landscapers use TTT.

Use case

The trailer

TTT goes inside the trailer body — bolted to a hidden bracket, under the floor, behind a panel. Geofence the depot, geofence the home address. Live mode the moment it leaves outside work hours.

Use case

The mower deck

For high-value ride-ons, a hardwired TTT lives inside the deck or under the seat. Battery-backed in case the loom is cut.

Use case

The Stihl box

For a crew with $4k of two-stroke kit in a lockbox, TTT inside the box gives you the last known location even if the lockbox itself walks away whole.

None of these is a silver bullet. Locks, lighting and insurance still matter. TTT is what tells you where the gear went after the locks fail.

FAQ

Landscapers questions.

The questions tradies in this trade actually ask before they buy.

Will it survive being chucked around in the back of a trailer?

Yes. IP67 rated and shock-rated for typical trailer use. Bolt it down with the mounting kit — do not leave it loose where it can bounce.

Can I get an alert when the trailer hooks up to a different vehicle?

Yes. Motion plus geofence triggers an alert. If the trailer leaves the yard outside hours, you find out. Pair it with a chain lock and a hitch lock — TTT tells you where the gear went after the locks fail.

Can I track a ride-on that is in storage over winter?

Yes — the device reports a low-power 'I am here' ping every few hours even when motionless. If the storage shed gets rolled, the alert fires.

Does it work in regional Australia?

Anywhere with cellular signal, yes. LTE-M has better reach than standard 4G in regional areas. Check the Telstra coverage map for your usual rounds — ring us if you are not sure.
