Will the tracker fit inside a standard Systainer?
Yes — even the smaller Systainers have room for the device in the lid or in an unused tool slot. Mount with the supplied adhesive or velcro patch.
Brand
Festool is the premium end of the cordless and bench-tool market. A loaded Systainer trolley is $5k–$15k of kit and resells fast on second-hand sites. TTT lives inside the Systainer or SYSPORT — the box is the asset, the kit moves with it.
Why thieves target it
Festool is expensive, well-engineered and instantly recognisable. The green-and-grey Systainer is one of the most visually distinctive tool storage systems in the trade. High price, high recognition, high resale velocity. A stolen Festool sander or domino sells faster than most equivalent brands because the buyer knows exactly what they are paying for.
What TTT does
TTT lives inside the Systainer or SYSPORT trolley. Systainers click together — mount the tracker in the bottom case so the tracker stays with the base if a thief pulls the top boxes off. For dust extractors and CT vacs, mount inside the body or the storage compartment, not on the hose where it can be removed.
What we don't do
TTT does not track individual Festool sanders, dominos or routers as standalone units. We track the Systainer or trolley that holds them. For serial-number records and chain-of-ownership on individual tools, use an inventory app. Festool's own MyFestool platform is also worth using for warranty and registration.
FAQ
Three common questions on tracking Festool kit.
Yes — even the smaller Systainers have room for the device in the lid or in an unused tool slot. Mount with the supplied adhesive or velcro patch.
Yes. The SYSPORT trolley is plastic and the signal passes through. For best signal, mount in the upper boxes near the lid rather than at the base behind metal wheels and chassis.
Same story — track the bag, not the individual tool. Pouch-mount or pocket-mount the device inside the bag so it stays put as the bag is carried.
