Will the signal work inside a Milwaukee Packout?
Yes. Packout boxes are plastic, so cellular and GPS pass through fine. Mount inside the lid of the bottom box; the tracker stays with the system even if upper boxes are removed.
Brand
The red and black is the most-target brand on Australian sites. M18 Fuel kits run $1.5k–$4k per kit and resell within days. TTT lives inside the Packout, the kitbag or the toolbox the M18 lives in — not on a single tool, where a thief would find it.
Why thieves target it
Milwaukee is the favourite of Australian tradies on most current site surveys, which makes it the favourite of thieves too. The Packout system in particular is high-value, stacked together, and recognisable — a thief who knows what a Packout trolley is, knows exactly what it is worth. M18 batteries are stolen as fast as the tools themselves; they are smaller, lighter, and resell standalone.
What TTT does
TTT goes inside the Packout system — usually in the lid of the bottom box in a stack, so if the upper boxes are pulled, the tracker stays with what is left. Plastic cases do not block signal. Geofence the yard or home address; alerts the moment the system leaves outside hours. For Milwaukee kit in a steel toolbox, mount TTT in the lid of the toolbox, not buried inside the steel.
What we don't do
TTT does not track individual M18 batteries — the housing is too small and a $19/month subscription on a single battery does not stack up. What TTT does: track the box or trolley that holds the kit. AirTags work for individual battery-level tracking with the Apple Find My network if you want belt-and-braces.
FAQ
Three common questions on tracking Milwaukee kit.
Yes. Packout boxes are plastic, so cellular and GPS pass through fine. Mount inside the lid of the bottom box; the tracker stays with the system even if upper boxes are removed.
Tamper alerts fire on motion, vibration and case-open events. For a stacked Packout, motion plus geofence is the most useful combination — the system rarely moves much on its own but always moves when a thief takes it.
We do not track individual tools. We track the storage that holds them. For per-tool tracking, an inventory app plus AirTags inside the case is the standard combination.
