How long is location history kept?
Standard plans keep 90 days of granular history; Crew and Business plans keep 12 months. Older data is summarised. Talk to the team if you need a longer retention window for compliance.
Feature
Even if the tracker is hidden, smashed or shielded, the last reported position stays in your dashboard. That timestamp and that pin are the difference between a claim that gets paid and a claim that gets bounced.

The detail
Every time the tracker reports — every six hours, every five minutes, or every 30 seconds in live mode — the position is stored. If the device goes offline because it is hidden inside a steel box, inside a shipping container, or because someone has smashed it, the last successful ping stays in the dashboard. That ping is what police follow up on. That ping is what insurers ask for.
GPS coordinates, the timestamp, the battery level, signal strength and whether the device was in standard or live mode at the time. If a tamper alert fired in the hour before the device went dark, it sits beside the last known location in the timeline.
One click pulls the last 30 days of location history into a PDF claim pack. Attach it to your insurance claim alongside the police event number and you have answered most of their questions before they ask.

Outdoors with clear sky, GPS accuracy is 3–5 metres. Inside a shed or shipping container, the device falls back to cellular triangulation — usually within 100–500 metres. Last known is whatever the device reported last, with the timestamp attached.
No. In standard mode the device reports on a schedule and when motion is detected. If your toolbox sits in a yard for three weeks the last known location stays accurate and current — it is reporting in, it is just not moving.
