Will the tracker beep when it detects tampering?
No. The tracker stays silent. A beeping device tells a thief where you hid it. Alerts go to your phone and dashboard only.

Four types of tamper
Motion fires when the asset moves outside expected hours. Vibration catches an angle grinder on the chain. Power-cut catches a hardwire being snipped. Case-open catches someone trying to remove the tracker itself. Each is configurable per asset.
Quiet by default, loud when it matters
You do not get pinged because the toolbox bumped a kerb. Sensitivity, duration and time-of-day thresholds keep false alarms down. When the system fires, it is because it has crossed the threshold you set. Not because the dog walked past.
Stacked alerts
A tamper plus a geofence breach plus a live-mode trigger becomes one stacked event in the timeline. Police get a cleaner story. Insurers get a cleaner claim. Your crew gets one push notification instead of five.

What happens if someone removes the battery?
On hardwired installs, snipping power fires a power-cut alert and the device falls back to its internal battery — you get the warning before it goes dark. On battery-only installs, removing the case fires the case-open alert. Either way you hear about it.
Can I turn tamper off when I am working on the asset myself?
Yes. Tap "service mode" in the app for 1, 4, 12 or 24 hours. Alerts pause; location keeps logging. The dashboard records who put it in service mode and when, so there is no confusion later.
