How long can live mode run for?
Hardwired to a 12V loom: indefinitely. On the internal battery, around 24–72 hours of live mode depending on signal strength. The dashboard shows the estimate in real time.

Tap the panic icon in the app. Live mode comes on instantly. The tracker switches to short-interval reporting and the map updates as the device moves. No waiting on the scheduled ping. No 'last seen six hours ago'.
Share the link
Live mode generates a shareable web link with a moving pin. Send it to the local police, your foreman, or whoever is closest to the gear. They open it in their browser. No login. No app install. No mucking about.
Battery-aware
Live mode is heavier on power than standard. The dashboard tells you exactly how long the battery will last at the current interval, so you can decide between 30-second pings for a 4-hour recovery window or 2-minute pings for a longer chase. Hardwired trackers do not have this problem.

Can the police see the live link?
Yes. Anyone with the link can see the live pin. We recommend handing the link to the duty officer when you call the police event line. They can pass it up the chain to whoever is closest.
Does live mode use mobile data?
It uses the cellular data plan on the tracker SIM (included in your TTT subscription). Your phone watches the map in your browser or app — same data usage as opening Google Maps.
